Sensor data & enrollment

How NANŌMICS uses device signals on the open Physical Reality Sentry demo — what we extract, and what we never collect or store.

What we access

  • Camera: The app may request camera permission only to sample frames in memory. The feed is not shown in the UI and is not saved. We derive a scalar entropy-related score from pixel-level noise statistics (variance of high-frequency luminance differences).
  • Microphone: We analyze frequency-band energy for a room acoustic score. We do not record, store, or display waveforms or voice content.
  • Motion: We use accelerometer-style motion patterns for a kinetic score. We do not collect GPS, precise location, or identity from motion data.

What we do not collect

  • No photos, video files, or image archives from your camera.
  • No audio recordings, voiceprints, or waveform archives from your microphone.
  • No location coordinates or maps derived from sensors.
  • No persistent identifiers beyond what you connect for the demo: typically your Solana wallet public address for signing and attribution on-chain.

What leaves your device

When you submit a contribution, the network receives compact quality-related scalars and cryptographic commitments tied to the current epoch — not raw sensor media. Published beacon records (for example, Merkle roots on Solana) are public by design and verifiable by anyone.

This demo reads pixel-level noise statistics, frequency-band energy, and motion patterns only — no images, waveforms, or audio are shown or stored.
